I can talk about my characters and stories far more easily than I can talk about myself. The best way to learn about me is through those stories. Writing primarily science fiction, I enjoy worlds and universes that aren't so black and white. Every story has something to say, and every message is not as straight-forward as it seems. We tend to boil ourselves down and define ourselves according to neat labels, whether by race, gender, political identity, or whatever; and the truth is, we're more complicated than that. I try to write worlds and characters that reflect that complexity and diversity of belief.

Rika!

Some of the craziest movie and TV shows come out of Australia, so when I noticed the language for this book set at Australian English, I jumped on it; and it lived up to my expectations. Do not let the cover fool you, it is an interesting story set in a very imaginative world. If there is one disappointment, it's that this is the first in a series and we'll have to wait for the next part. But don't let that bother you. I found it free on Smashwords, it's certainly worth the time, and I'd say Fogarty is one of those indie authors worth watching.
The TEABAG Goblins

From the cover, I expected this to be everything you want to see from a true indie author - it was a delightfully amateurish image, such as to bring a smile to my face. But when I read the story, I was surprised to find it was done in an ironic sense. The story itself was funny and fun - the author doesn't take himself too seriously. To say he shattered the 4th wall is a bit misleading as it was never there to begin with. Only thing that detracted was that this was a piece in a broader universe, however at no point did I feel I missed anything having not read the other works. The characters here were largely original to the story, and the adventure entirely self-contained. I didn't think it would be easy to exceed my expectations from the cover, but I was wrong - I loved this story!
A Robots Tale
on May 09, 2020
Loved the story. Author takes a standard robots-rebel-and-take-over-the-world story, and by shifting the focus between the humans and the robots, he is able to turn these otherwise evil robot characters into beings we can understand, and sometimes sympathize with. And the author showcases some moments of horror that I wouldn't have expected from this story trope.
The images bookending the chapters really accentuate the story and I thought they were beautiful. Many authors can't pull off images in a prose book, but I loved the images in here.
