Biography
I believe when it comes to the topic of "faith" it's important to know the heart of the writer you are reading. Hence, a little insight.
If you've perused my writings I trust you have noticed that I'm an unapologetic non-conformist thus not religious per say. In fact, my greatest concern in life is to be summarily dismissed as a "religious person". My preference? A "real person" serving "a real God" who "really loves" THE WORLD.
From day one of my sojourn with God it's always been a "real or nothing" mindset. I couldn't imagine any other way to approach the journey. Admittedly, never perfect and often awkward, but that has been and continues to be the narrow road I travel.
At 27 years of age Jesus literally stole my heart. I did not join a "Club". I fell in love and entered the "Kingdom" of my Lover. To me, that was as glorious and serious as it gets!
While admittedly my writings may not adhere to the status quo at times, I do sincerely hope that they provide stimulation for serious contemplation.

Our tongue is a mere 4 inches long but my goodness, consider the anguish it has inflicted over time within its unruly nature. “The Lost Sheep” are people who “The Church” has never dealt with very well. Burying our heads in the sand and relegating them by using derogatory descriptives, has allowed us the unobstructed convenience of casting “The Lost” as “The Villains” in the story. I consider "These Wanderers" as “Missing With A Reason” rather than “Lost”. I often wonder if we really care to know the "Reason"?

Exactly who is the “Prosperity Gospel” prospering? Interesting question don’t you think? While not being a popular one, I do think it's important, unless we actually believe that our mission as disciples of Jesus is to create mansions for our leaders to reside in with bulging bank accounts to match. North American Christianity might suggest it to be so. Let's face it, Jesus is big business!

Oh how the “child within” loves to have his or her say in all matters pertaining to life. Because of its insistence on running the show, it can become a very serious obstruction to the purposed destiny of our journey with Jesus. God says : “Becoming more like Jesus is that purpose”, while our “child” says: “Not on my watch”. Trapped in the middle, we are the determining factor as to who wins!

Folks, we need to get radical with our faith. When it comes to God, anything less than radical is inappropriate. We so easily get spiritually bounced around like pin-balls at an arcade, when the latest whatever and whoever is brought to our attention then highlighted with its demand that we pay it heed. God said: “Be still and know that I am God”. Folks, He wasn’t talking to Himself!

Deeds done and not done. Things said and not said. Like candles being blown in the wind our spiritual and emotional well-being can find itself exposed to the imperfect fluctuating attitudes of others. If not careful, we can accumulate toxic “stuff” that can negatively impact our thought life. But we don’t have to engage in these ill-advised allowances. There is a healthy answer to the dilemma.
