Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Growing up, I found myself in the quiet suburbs in the second largest city in Ghana. On holidays, when most of my peers would find themselves busy at play, I would find myself some of my dad's novels and read. Occasionally my dad would get me new ones when he saw how interested I was. It took a book gifted me by my Uncle to get me thinking about writing. And I've been writing ever since that young age, the quiet atmosphere being the back bone as in the silence my thoughts flow freely and I channel it through a pen onto a paper
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story of Choosing came about as I was thinking about life and how we make the choice to hand our will over to God for his will to become ours. I was sort of in a state where I was wondering if I made the right choice in choosing for the Lord's will to be done in my life and there the idea was born.

I read this book and i have to say i feel like i know Helen. Logan is just so understanding it makes sense he's the one for her. I nearly cried at some point. I'm glad you penned this down to remind those abused that they are never alone. Thank you for such a wonderful story. I'll be looking forward for more from you. God bless you
  • A Time of Seasons on March 10, 2016

The meeting of the two main characters is such that you believe there is a reason for everything. You watch as they get to know each other with their unique personalities and as they fall in love. Filled with humor, you are sure to laugh out loud. Important christian principles are made easier to understand. A Time of Seasons definitely shows our father always has a good reason for his timing.
  • The Storm's Journey on March 12, 2016

Two people with abusive pasts meet and there is an instant connection. But to work on that connection, they must look to the one who drew them together in the first place. As they draw closer to each other and work on overcoming the pain of their past. And to deal with that, Tiffany and Toby are surrounded by friends that are more like family who help them each step of the way. The Storms Journey reaches out to the abused and relates to them in a way that provides healing and hope. I realize through this book that we walk through storms in the journey of life but with our eyes on Christ we can make it out stronger.
  • To Be Blessed on March 13, 2016

Love is kind, Love is patient and in this book it is explained that Love does not create boundaries because of skin tone. Jody and Noah are drawn together irrespective of their physical differences. They both fall in love with their inner selves and when obstacles arise to pull them apart, amazingly their love just pulls them even closer. It tells me a love anchored in Christ stands strong. I fell in love with this series, Helen, Tiffany and Jody not forgetting Logan, Toby and Noah. Kay Edwards created a family not characters, it's easy to understand their pains grow with them on their journey with a dose of humor that reminds you life shouldn't be all gloom. Thank you Kay Edwards for sharing your gift
