I'm just a small town girl with a heart for the country life. I'm very shy and pretty much a loner, but my writing helps me be more outgoing and talk to various people that I would otherwise have a hard time approaching. I don't write for the money or the fame, but rather to tell a story that needs to be told; whether that is my story or a character's story. As a lot of people know, from my various interviews, I started writing to express my anger and hurt over the bullying that I experienced in High School, but eventually I just realized that I loved to tell stories. I was born in Texas, grew up and still live in Upstate New York, and want to retire in Ireland.

Hi! Thanks for visiting ^_^ My full name is Genevieve but you can call me Gen. I love to write; I wrote my first poem when I was four years old and I haven’t stopped. Until I went to law school – that was a disaster :P Suffice it to say I went back to writing and I have never been happier, more complete. Law school? Forever on hold I guess. While I am not writing I can be found under a big, shady tree with a book and a pitcher of ice-cold sweet tea or playing with my dogs and Budgie. I have more than a dozen dogs and I love them all even if they are quite a handful. On a really good day however, you can find me on my window seat, gazing up at the clouds, lost in my own world ^_^

I was born in Havana, Cuba, but at age 7 I was sent to the U.S. with the sole accompaniment of a 9 year-old sister, so as to prohibit our growing up in a Communist country. There we were placed with an American family in New Jersey, where I eventually grew up, going on to study at Boston University. There followed a period of 16 years during which I lived no more than 2 consecutive years in any single place; this included most of Europe and several South American countries. I eventually settled in a remote area of Argentina where I live to the present time.

Ever since I began to read adventure stories as a young girl, I wanted to write the stories I could never find in my local library. I wanted mythical earths and mythical times. I wanted stories of boys and girls, wonderful creatures and beasts who together crossed water and land to rescue the trapped one, save the lost one, and recapture the treasure - all the while trying to stay alive! I wanted bonds of friendships so powerful even time and distance could not sever them. I wanted loves so loyal and pure that even heartache and death could not destroy them. I wanted painful partings and happy endings. I wanted tears. What I really wanted was Quest. Canada is my home. The vastness and diversity of this lan ... read more
