  • Isaac's Bible (a flash fiction story) on Oct. 16, 2013

Great story, love the atmosphere and feel. The face you went with a male perspective I found interesting. Looking forward to more. P.S. thanks for the review honest and constructive without being nasty And I found a great author
  • A Week And A Day In The Lives Of Two Angry Young Men on Oct. 26, 2013

Ok loved the story. Laughed my ass off towards the end. Thanks for the review. One star ok, a half hour to read and you didn’t finish?
  • Cons on Nov. 23, 2013

A little like the twilight zone episode, written in hell. Works for me.
  • The Ancient eBook Reader on Jan. 04, 2014

Fun story and I liked the self-reference
  • Bacon Double Cheesemurder on Jan. 16, 2014

Great story. I did see the outcome, but I think I knew that going in and I still enjoyed the ride. Odd, is the story setting in America or the UK? Other than the use of the words gormless, tyres it could be set in America. Thanks for the read and love the cover.
  • First Mistakes - A Guide For Smashwords Fiction Writers on Jan. 16, 2014

I agree with Walter. Spot-on and you don’t feel like your reading a text book. Also like the part about Criticism.
  • Number Withheld on Jan. 18, 2014

Nice job of setting the mood and showing his descent. It reminds me of the old spy movies. Nicely done.
  • Crimson Veil on Jan. 18, 2014

Great story. I agree the dialogue was realistic and a good twist at the end. Fun read, thanks.
  • Deleted Memories on Jan. 23, 2014

I enjoyed your store, thank you. Do not listen to people like Patrick Jane. A one word review isn't constructive and as a fellow author he should be ashamed. If you haven't, check out First Mistakes by David Blake, especially the first part. It can be found here at Smashwords. Keep writing.
  • Oblivious on Jan. 31, 2014

Stars off a little like Robert Frost with a great description of the woods. Great job with the ending things build up from bad to worse.
  • Smashwords Writing Duel on Feb. 05, 2014

“Won of the best storys on Smasshwords ive ever red.” Starts off fun with the back and forth and ends with a bit deeper back story of Linda. Nicely done. I didn’t see Linda’s character as weak, but more…. lived. God, I'm glad “Clever Trevor” hasn’t found me yet and I'm starting to agree with some of the reviews of this and your other stories. Dammit, I wish id thought of that story first! Great job, thanks
  • Here in Sullen on April 27, 2014

I enjoyed your short story very much, like a twilight zone with a point. Just one thing I feels a bit rushed, something I'm guilty of my self. A little more time with it I think you could have taken it from good to great. Thank you for sharing your work.
  • Two Birds (A Short Mystery) on July 28, 2014

I loved the story, nicely done the pace and layout of the story is spot on. Can't say much more without giving something away.
  • Together Forever on July 28, 2014

Fun story. Like the other review stated can't say much more but read, enjoy and hope for round two.
  • 20 Minutes of Terror - A True Story on Aug. 02, 2014

Fun story very descriptive. Thank you look forward to reading more of your work. Just read it I don't want to give anything away. You mite figure it out before you get to the end but great story.
  • Monkey Business on Sep. 05, 2014

Nice story I would've liked a little more. The transition from the house to the car didn't flow for me. That being said I still enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of your work. Thank you.
  • Ghost Train on Sep. 28, 2014

Nice story and well written but I agree with Mr Lee I think I just wanted a little more. Great job, keep writing and thank you.
  • Faceless on Oct. 25, 2014

Great job. I'm like Cyril I would have liked a little more. Thank you. And as the father of two girls more power to you, I'm behind you.
  • Twas A Good Day To Die on Dec. 22, 2014

It's a little different than Jonathan Strickland other works but definitely worth the read. I like the blinding in of where we are in the story with the back story of how our it got to this point. Nice job and thank you.
  • The Special Christmas Ornaments of Mr. Everett on Dec. 25, 2014

Ok so I decided to read it after reading Bob's review and he was spot on kinda it was a nice tale with a disturbing ending. Thank you
  • Fatal Vision on Jan. 04, 2015

I like the way the story is laid out and loved the ending. Your motto of " All thriller, no filler" is evident and works perfect. Great story. Thank you.
  • Another Day At The Office on Jan. 08, 2015

Great story. Love the fact that I doesn't go where you think. With more then one plot twist this story it makes for a fun read. Thanks for sharing your work.
  • The Graveyard's Retribution on March 18, 2015

The cemetery is lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to reap, And mite be awhile before you sleep. I agree the story is a little darker and that's a good thing. The characters are well done and the back story and ending fit perfectly. With a nice build up all the way to the end. Oh and nice cover.
  • Let the Reader Beware on April 14, 2015

Only from the mind of Jonathan Antony Strickland can you go into short story with the question of are you who you think you are? Are you sure? And come out the the other side with a smile and a feeling of humanity. Great job.
  • The Fool and the Fiend on Oct. 05, 2015

Another great story from Jonathan Anthony Strickland where he's managed to give the reader micro stories with in a short story but never take you out of the main story line, no easy feat. I loved the twist at the end. Oh and I've spent the last three days crying and cursing the yeti. Would love to read that story.
  • The King of the Dumps on Dec. 19, 2015

Great short story about King Kong and the little people in his life and death. Love the Epilogue. Clean-Up in Aisle 5
  • My Idea For An Ideal Heaven on Aug. 01, 2016

I love the fact that I always feel as if I'm sitting and being told a story by someone even though I'm the one reading it. This is no different. Fun read.
  • Alien Optimism, a Little Bigotry and Wonder on Aug. 20, 2017

Great read and great twist at the end.
  • Nonsense and No Sense on Aug. 20, 2017

Great bunch of stories, poems and riddles. Riddle #4 mad me smile and now I think I’m off to make some eggs. Thanks for the stories and….eggs.
  • Abandoned: A Ghost Story on Nov. 23, 2017

I enjoyed the story but I would have liked a little bit more of an explanation at the end. If it had been a short story or flash fiction I would have been ok with the ending. That being said it was well written and I like your writing style. Thank you for sharing your story. I will definitely check out your other book on Amazon.
  • The Helpful Neighbor on Dec. 10, 2017

    Fun little read. Thank you.
  • The Bloody History Of The Su'Varock Mines on Dec. 22, 2017

Bloody and I loved it. I read the first posting of this story and enjoyed it but the polish and extra details truly show. Great job. Thank you.
  • Rot: Part 1 - Origin of the Feces on Feb. 26, 2018

Fun short story. Look forward to reading the next installments
  • Let's Hope the Future Doesn’t Sound This Bad on March 18, 2018

I love when new music explodes on the scene. You've managed to combine some of my favorite things ...aliens, music, art. Great character and setting description though out the course of the story. Great ending as well.
  • The Hitchhiker on May 16, 2018

Fun short story. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
  • Things To Do When You Become A Zombie! on June 21, 2018

Funny, snarky, witty and definitely one of the best self help books I've ever read. P.S... Yes.
  • The Two Wrongs That Made A Right on Nov. 12, 2018

Great little read. Your writing and stories always make me smile and this one doesn't disappoint. I love when Greggor emerges from the crypt.
  • In Fear Of The Red White And Blue on Nov. 14, 2018

Got to admit I'm a little curious about those mad furry big-eared bastard's. Fun story. Great sense of humor as always. Now I think I'm off for a cup of...
  • My Name Is Memory on March 24, 2019

Great story. I like the inner voice of Memory / Alice being the majority of the narrator and the ending was perfect.
  • Investigations Into The Strange And Unusual on June 29, 2019

Fun and imaginative as with all his stories. Don't want to give away anything but I thought the way the the main character received and deciphered the clues was great. I liked the after and p.s. and p.s.s. And one last thing I'm so sick of Bernie upstaging me.
  • The Dead Don't! on Aug. 31, 2019

Fun read, like all of his stories. I could have read a couple more conversation before it ended but zombies don't.... Fantastic writing as always.
  • Whatever, Whomever, Whenever, Why ever on Oct. 28, 2019

Happy to say your writing never disappoints. Love the poem.
  • Space Snot on Dec. 24, 2019

I'm not sure where the author gets his ideas from but I'm not going to complain. Inventive and entertaining.
  • The Library on Feb. 28, 2020

A fun read and well written. I didn't feel like all my questions were answered when I reached the end. That's not a complaint. I think I wasn't done with the world and characters the author created. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
  • May Contain ????? ????? on April 23, 2020

A willingness of the main character to deny his beliefs of an eccentric confectionery eventually gives way to more than expected, or perhaps just an unwanted truth. The author offers a bit of whimsy along the way. An entertaining story from an author who never disappoints.
  • The Triceratops and Cut The Cord on Sep. 27, 2020

Cut the cord was great. I liked the one line Like siren song With whispering wrongs
  • Of Muscle and Magic on Dec. 27, 2020

A line from the book sums this book up perfectly. "I warn you now of something of the task at hand though, it involves fighting dangerous creatures, but more importantly the main enemy who will need to be destroyed will be a powerful wizard like myself, dealing in the darkest magics!" If you're in to fantasy do yourself a favor and don't let this one pass you by. The world created in this story feels whole without being overly bogged down with a history lesson to do so. If you're familiar with some of this authors other work it is slightly different but just a well written and worth the read
  • The Final Thoughts of an Atheist on May 29, 2021

The story is short but poignant. With a keen point of view that will leave you contemplating what's next to come. Awesome writing.
  • You Are The Monster on Oct. 21, 2021

This has been in my to read list for awhile and I wish I had gotten around to reading it sooner. It's a short but fun read. I enjoyed the point of view for the telling of the story and the chosen creature. I loved the choose your adventure books and could definitely see the influence in this story and some of the authors works.
  • Last Meta Moments on Oct. 20, 2022

its been a bit since we've read anything from this writer but worth it. If you have ever hear an interviewer ask a writer what keeps you up at night. This, it's this.! Awesome work as always
