Martian Publishing

Publisher info

A group of writers in Northern Virginia had spent years trying to get published without much luck. So we joined together and created Martian Publishing to get the groups' works into distribution.

After seeing the collapse of Borders book chain and other indicators, we have decided digital is the route to go.

And if we do not produce bestsellers, at least we can find the few readers who like stories that cross genres, which most of ours do.

The lead on the publishing side is TWayne Martin, hence the Martian in the title. (Funny, for years he has flatly denied being a Martian... perhaps the truth will out, no?)

This is a humorously cynical view of society and the moral systems we have developed. The poems poke fun at government, hippies, the drug culture, romance, sexuality, sociology, politics, and so many things about life that we take for granted everyday. Most were written in my "angry young man" days in college. Cute illustrations accompany each poem. That is, "cute" if you like rodents.
