I grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota. I have twelve brothers and sisters. I am one of three sets of twins, technically an Irish Twin. My mother was a seamstress and my father was a labored lineman for 32 years with MA Bell. His work was brutal and dangerous. My father would rescue abandon animals on the Minnesota and Dakota Prairies and find homes for them with the local farmers. He was known for yelling at the farmers for not having the animals stitched up (fixed). He'd always say, "I have 13 mouths to feed, I can't be feeding every stray animal on the prairie."
