Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Southern California and some of what I write is about that location, but I also write about other places I have been and as I go to new places I incorporate them into my writing.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I have had some books published by traditional publishers, but I got tired of them having all the control and I got tired of waiting, plus some of what the small time publishes do to promote your work, you can do yourself.
Mike McDonald, a Persian Gulf War vet, wakes up from a coma and cant even remember his own name. With the help of his friend and former pastor, Mike regains his memories and learns that he and his wife Sharon were on a vacation, riding his Honda Gold Wing when they are attacked by an outlaw bike club known as The Lost Souls. They rape and kill Sharon and leave Mike for dead. Mike goes to war using guns, knives and home made explosives taking down the entire motorcycle gang. In Green River Wyoming,a friendly bike club known as The Green River Boys help Mike in his crusade. The final battle takes place at a lonely hunting lodge at the end of a windy mountain road, know as Thunder Road. His war with The Lost Souls over, Mike heads east on his Harley looking to start a new life, but it seems that all he finds along the way is more trouble.
The Battle for Europa, book one of the Space Corps Chronicles is a tale of revolution in the twenty fourth Century. Earth and colonies in the solar system are ruled by The Council of Economic Unions on Earth. The council rules with an iron fist. When Shawn Gallagher, an ice miner on Europa launches a miner's strike, it is a ruse for rebellion. The ice on the surface of Europa will turn red with blood in The Battle for Europa.

In Jacksonville Florida, after three of his detectives are murdered Mike McDonald goes to war with a Cuban drug cartel. Bill Caldwell and Mike McDonald meet at Dayton Bike Week and Bill joins his fight against a Cuban drug cartel.
When Mike McDonald left Nebraska he thought that he had left the blood and violence behind. His intent was to ride to New York City to visit his brother and enjoy some peace and quiet, but he arrives in the city only to find his brother, Johnny in the hospital and in a coma after someone placed a bomb under his car. Once again Mike goes to war with a group of Irish Thugs and the Italian mob.
In the twenty-fourth century, Earth is divided into Economic Unions. Personal freedom is a thing of the past. The Council of Economic Unions rules the planet. Eddie Falcon leader of the People's Fist launches worldwide protests, which lead to all-out war across the planet. With the help of their friends from Mars and Europa, they struggle to win their final battle, the Battle for Earth.
Mike McDonald leaves Green River Wyoming heading east to start a new life. In Nebraska, Mike meets Chris Chandler, a widowed rancher who has her back against the wall. A local real estate developer is trying to steal her ranch. Mike and The Green River Boys, a friendly motorcycle club go to war fighting New York gangsters. I didn't think I would like this story that much because I am not used to reading the British English, but this story hooked me like a fish and reeled me in. It is a great tale and I highly recommend it.

The Oath Keeper Trilogy - Book Two - The Grooming
on Aug. 22, 2021
this was one of those books that I couldn't stop reading until I reached the end. All though it is a fictional story, it makes you think about there realities we face today. To my knowledge no order as described this book as the Knights of the Way exist, but I wish there was such an organization, because too many of our elected officials care more about their pocket book and their desire for power than they do about our freedoms, their oath of office and the constitution. I recommend this book to anyone who values their freedom as an American.
The Oath Keeper Trilogy - Book Three - The Assumption
on Aug. 26, 2021
This is historical fiction at its best. The tale weaves its way through historical events as the main character and his associates do their best to fight terrorist abroad as well as corruption and treason in our own government. This book will keep you turning the page until the very end.

The Floating Outfit 5: From Hide and Horn

Another excellent Western by one of the greats. It is a shame that the author is no longer with us. What surprises me is that an author who lived in England could have such great success at bringing the Wild West alive in his fiction. If you like Westerns you'll love this book.
