Donna McDonald

Biography

Donna McDonald has been a writer all her life and managed to complete her first novel in August of 2010. Her idea of success is to be on an airplane and see a fellow passenger reading one of her stories. If the person is laughing or smiling, she will consider it a bonus. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her fiancée, Bruce. Her work history covers everything from housekeeper to business owner to college English instructor. It also includes an eighteen year stint as a technical writer, publications planner, and information architect in the corporate world. Her current career goal is to be a prolific, multi-published author for the rest of her life and write stories readers will love to read. She thinks a little travel and adventure would be nice, too.

I downloaded the first book just as a way to read something in a genre that was new to me, but ended up falling in love with the story and the characters. You can't help but admire Mallory's fairy cop. These novels are addictive and lots of fun. I'm hooked and will be definitely be buying future releases. Thanks for a very enjoyable read!

I am not normally a fan of stories with historical settings, but was so caught up in these characters that I forgot and had to have the whole book. Nordin does a wonderful job making you care about what happens to both the hero and heroine. This author definitely leaves you wanting more after the book is done.

I don't read many books with a Western setting, but I really liked this one. It was entertaining from beginning to end. When I read I like to get involved with the characters which only works if the author creates interesting heroes and heroines like Charlotte Raby does. This book is definitely worth the purchase price.

I enjoyed the story line and the strong heroine. I would definitely consider reading more books by this author. There was lots of action for those of you who like that in books.

Storyline and characters were mesmerizing from the beginning. I had never read about a succubus before and probably won't be looking for more books on them. (I don't like their lack of control over their situation, but I get the need for the story.) Still I read this whole book and enjoyed it because this author has the kind of writing that just grabs you. If this subject matter is for you, the book is well worth the money.

Story premise was very good. Paranormal world was interesting and therian "facts" kept me intrigued. The biggest shortcoming was that the story wasn't long enough to get me as involved with the characters as I wanted to be. Dayne was fascinating, all that old magic, but I know so little about him. Also, I craved more background on what was going on. I would recommend this book because I definitely intend to buy others in this series in the hopes of finding out more.
