The puzzle of making it all fit--the timeline, the character development, the details of the world created, the plot...once it all clicks, that's kind of a high.
What do your fans mean to you?
Without my fans I'd be writing for the desk drawer. Their feedback, good as bad, makes it all worth giving that extra to make the book the best I can make it.
