Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I started writing stories and poetry in high school. I began many book length stories but didn't finish any. In my thirties, after settling down in my profession and starting a family, I decided to go back and take one of these stories to the end. This first book took me almost ten years to complete.
What's the story behind your latest book?
His Robot Wife: Patience is a Virtue is my latest book and third in a series, the first being His Robot Girlfriend, and the second, His Robot Wife. The story is set in a near future where humanoid robots are becoming very common. The first two books introduce Mike, a retired teacher who purchases a new robot (really) to take the place of his deceased wife, and Patience is the robot. Those books tell the story from Mike's point of view, which I suppose one would really expect. In His Robot Wife: Patience is a Virtue, I tried to tell the story more from her point of view. Don't expect an Earth-shattering Terminator-like story. This is really a story about two people coming together-- except one of them is a robot.
